The UN defines youth as the person between the ages 16 to 24.They are the energetic,dynamic ,innovator spectrum of country who sparkles the country by their intelligence and spirit.They are synonymous with brain of the body more deeply cortex of the brain.The future scenario of the country is vested in youth which if exploited future is brighter otherwise it can be like iron kept in open air which turns into rust.
Agriculture transformation which is now highly uttered is shift from subsistence to modern agriculture with the goal of profit maximization by low-cost inputs which will boost the economy of the family and country as a whole. It is not a spontaneous process but a gradual ever-changing process.Most of the developed countries in the world have a hidden mystery that is agriculture transformation which can be exampled by US and Europe via fiber production initiation.The farmers are always in a circumference where they apply more inputs and output is low which is the cause of loss of hope among farmers like our developing countries Nepal.
There is no precise definition for entrepreneurship which differs among various perspectives of people.But,it has always to be bonded with axioms like innovation,self traders,profit orientation,human capital ,social connection and self spirit for entrepreneurship. It is adhered to the mouth of many people.Nowadays,farmers are price taker but,they can be price maker if they are entrepreneurs.
Nepal is small climatic museum with biodiversity hub in different parts of
country.Agriculture contributes 33.01% of GDP and source of livelihood for about 65.6% of the total population (MOAD 2014).Of the total population of Nepal youths are 10,689,842 of age 16-42 years (census 2068).We have practiced subsistence agriculture and there is dominant orthodox society.Government claims that it has plan for agriculture transformation but,due to unstable tortoise like government this is confined in drafts rather than activity along with counterfeit of foreign aids for agricultural development.Problems are common and known but,the solution is dissolved in corruption.
Youth are the ultimate emanate for agricultural transformation.They are the portfolio with rational decision, new technology ,social networking and diplomatic relationship.
But,due to brain drain rather than brain game ,we have our youths potentials in foreign where they spend their aptitude leaving their own country empty.There are many factors for this.But,they have transformed the agriculture in the country which they learnt via pain like base metal into gold.We have many examples in our country which are the source of inspiration for youth like us visualized roof farming,kiwi farming ,banana farming via tissue culture and drip irrigation technique increasing productivity, agro-resorts,ostrich farming.Youth who were employed in south Korea are trying to adopt those technologies like hydroponics, aeroponics, insect culture for solid waste management.
Researches on different commodities is being conducted in different agricultural colleges by students so that they can suggest a best technology for farmers within their feasible region.Youth are the only source who can suggest farmers to use new developed technology as an extension worker so that farmers can ameliorate their productivity which boost family and country economy .Such youth are vested with dexterity to unlock hidden mystery of agriculture in rural sectors and urban.
Never depend on single income make an investment to create a second source (Warren Buffett). Youths are the innovators which drives entrepreneurship.Our youth can be an emanate of income themselves via entrepreneurship instead of depending for monthly salary in jobs in foreign.Their entrepreneurship in country acts as strong catalyst for fostering country economy.
They can be good example for adopters.They become the hope for country economy instead of depending on foreign agricultural goods.Nowadays youths spend their most time in social networking via which they are performing online marketing.This entrepreneurship will be best for farmers as their products are secured for marketing.Some youths are engaged in chain marketing.These two entrepreneurship help a lot to waive middleman who take real profit from both producer and consumer which is main constraint for agriculture. In a nutshell,the future of a country is rooted in youth which need to be nourished.For nourishing,education ,technologies,exercise and training are utmost needed.
Country,s future is secured if the country invest in youth.After short gestation period,they are credited by benefits of youths.Youth are like seed which gives future tree here we mean tree of economy via agricultural transformation and entrepreneurship.
